This is my fourth month subscribed to Beauty Bar's Sample Society and I've been pretty pleased with all my boxes so far. This month is no exception. Below is what is included in my box for November:
-L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream 1oz
-Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Dry Oil Mist 1oz
-Diego Dalla Palma Classic Lipstick in #29
-Diptyque Volutes Eau de Toilette 2ml
-Dermalogica Precleanse Oil 1fl ounce
I use L'occitane hand creams regularly so I loved the purse sized sample included. I don't normally use products of any kind on my hair since I don't like how it feels (oily, sticky, heavy, or a combination), but I did try Alterna's Bamboo Smooth Dry Oil on a small area and I liked how it felt. It did make my hair softer without weighing it down. I'll have to try it some more before making up my mind completely. Prior to this box, I haven't heard anything about Diego Dalla Palma as a brand. The Classic Lipstick is in the shade Pink Satin (#29), a bright pink with some frostiness.
| The formula is creamy and nice enough but the shade is just not something I would wear.. |
I've heard mostly good things about Diptyque but I fear my nose is just not refined enough to appreciate their blends. Volutes smells very 'heavy' and masculine to me, plus its not really something I can wear as it gave me a headache almost immediately. I do like that perfume samples included are of brands that aren't widely available for testing. Dermalogica's Precleanse, I've never tried as well but if there's one product that I run out of most often, its cleansing oils so I am looking forward to trying this one.
Please let me know if there's anything that you'd like a review on and I'll put it on my list :)
Like I said, I've enjoyed all my boxes from Beauty Bar so far, not all the products have worked out but I do like trying new things and discovering new brands so its fun for me.
Do you subscribe to any monthly beauty boxes? How are you liking it/them? I only subscribe to one and personally that's enough for me but I'd love to know if there are any you'd recommend.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
